I've heard a lot about Wow:Cataclysm, of how they're going to make lava and forest fires everywhere, and how there are two new races. I've heard about the new level cap (85) the splitting of the barrens, tauren paladins, and other things. I'm very excited, but I don't know when it's coming out. Does anyone else know?
World of Warcraft has no shortage of expansions. The latest two, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm becomes the second and third expansion pack to World of Warcraft. Cataclysm was just recently released and it can be difficult to find a comprehensive guide for it. You can finding questing and all other information about this new WoW expansion pack if you know where to look.
Creeping just outside of Darkshire, I had been set a quest to kill the Worgen in the Woods by a member of the night watch (No – not Sam Vimes, that would have been cool though). Duskwood was a dark scary area. The first I had come across after the lightness of Elwynn Forest, Westfall and Redridge
I reached the brow of a crest of land that looked over a dark grassed area and spotted the Worgen for Read the rest of this entry
World of Warcraft Patch 3.3.3 is now live. And I bet every player had been testing all the new features, and I am also guilty of that. I am pretty sure that many were satisfied and perhaps overwhelmed with this, while some may take this on a negative note. And I am not surprise at all.
Perhaps for other WoW players who had been solely waiting for Patch 3.3.3, I know for sure you already have ideas as to what’s in store for you. But for other gamers who wish to know more here are facts that I know for sure can truly be helpful to you.
The biggest and major highlights of this patch can be divided into seven areas. First would be the gallery of datamining finds that includes celestial steed. Second would be the addition of frozen orbs with new uses of it that acts as the third area. The fourth would tap about some profession changes. The fifth element covers the changes to the game economy and the auction house. While the sixth and seven caters to honor changes and raid buff changes respectively.
With the addition of World of Warcraft Patch 3.3.3 the weekly quests in dungeons and raids will be reset per region’s scheduled maintenance. Thus, it will no longer be on a global time basis. Some bosses can now be made accessible thru the aid of the dungeon finder. Thus, finding one would now be a breeze. Each player can now queue up for them to access the said bosses.
Classes in general have their ranges increased to 100 yards now. However, some shorter ranges class like the paladin and totems is unchanged. Going to the specifics, the death knight class can now generate a very high amount of threat with their icy touch. Their chains of ice can now apply to Frost Fever. On the other hand, the druids had increased their nature’s grasp from one to three. Their starfall as well has been increased significantly while their typhoon would only cost them 25% of mana reduction. The hunters class can now deal damage within 100 yards and steady shot damage by 3/6/9%. The mages frostbolt has also been increased by 5%. Their fire and frost had also been improved as well. Rogues now have damage over time consumption with critical strikes with the aid of their rupture.
Here are also some details about the professions that you might find useful as well. The runed orcs recipes have their initial materials reduced. The Pet Bombling is no longer Bind on Pickup under engineering. The daily fishing quest for instance the Monsterbelly Appetite had now been place in Dalaran. Under inscription, most recipes today would now only require one link rather than the usual two. The glacial bag under tailoring would invoke seven days of cooldown.
The most anticipated addition with the patch 3.3.3 is its user interface improvements. For instance the auction house will immediately issue an alert if it is unavailable. As a WoW player you can then easily right click to place an item in the frame. All in all, it has now been made easy to navigate. The Dungeon Finder is another perfect addition. Every time you kick a particular party member, you will also need to add your reasons why. When you join a group, level requirements will be used for them to be made eligible for greater dungeon numbers. You might also notice that your quest window can be widened as well. In addition, the map in the quest pane will also provide some descriptions about it.
All in all there are still many perfect additions waiting to be checked and discovered by other WoW players. You just might be surprised how the updates can bring major changes that are truly positive for every gamer out there. Thus, what are you waiting for, embark on a new journey with the World of Wacraft patch 3.3.3 today.
Since World of Warcraft was first launched in 2004, there has been an ongoing conversation about its PvP options. The game started with none and then was blessed with relatively fun, if not fully engaging battlegrounds. When Burning Crusade was launched, Blizzard added Arena play which some players took to easily while others cursed and threw their keyboards across the room.
It’s been a bumpy road, but Blizzard is always trying new things, trying to tap into the perfect solution to their ongoing PvP issues. Last year they introduced outdoor PvP with Lake Wintergrasp and with Cataclysm they are going to revamp their Battlegrounds, while adding at least one new one (to the already impressive roster or 7) and make it so you can start gaining ratings for your efforts. Along with the big Battleground changes, Blizzard is also going to give us a long awaited feature – the return of the PvP Titles that we all loved so much back when it was just BGs, pre 2.0.
The Ranked Battlegrounds
The biggest change is the advent of ranked battlegrounds. How it’s going to work is that you’ll now gain both rating and arena points when you win a Battleground. However, to keep players from being punished for getting stuck on a bad team, you will not lose any points if you happen to lose (which many people often do). On the other hand, you will still gain the honor and battleground tokens you always did when you play in any BG.
There will be a weekly cap on the BG points you can gain and there will be special rewards for those that want to take advantage of BGs only instead of the arena – including some rare mounts. The best part is that Blizzard has already noted they will attempt to keep it from being a grind – something everyone can get behind.
PvP Titles Return
The PvP Titles that everyone remembers from pre-arena play are going to come back as well for those that do well in the BG each season. Titles like Commander and Centurion will be used to describe anyone that performs well in these situations. To top things off, it’s been noted that the new Guild Leveling system will be integrated into this feature somehow.
For a game that started with absolutely no organized PvP options, WoW has come quite a long way in 5 years. Here’s to hoping Blizzard has even more surprises up its sleeves.
World of Warcraft’s third big expansion is on the way in 2010 and if you’re not already getting ready, you could quickly become that guy who’s lagging behind – hop on board the Cataclysm train and check out Cataclysm Front Lines for daily updates on the biggest new addition to the world’s best MMO coming next year.
